Individual Note: Calvin Vernon's listing on the LDS site now only lists one child - Anna Harper, b. abt 1805. I'm not sure where the names of these other children came from.
The 1820 census for Pittsylvania County, VA has Nicholas Harper living near Reuben Hall. He has 1 boy under 10; 2 boys 10-15; 4 girls under 10; and 1 girl 10-15.
Vincennes IN Land Entries, 1807 - 1877. Nicholas Harper bought land in Section 6, Twp. 5 North, Range 9 West. 6-18-1836.

Individual Note: She is listed in the 1880 Census as living with Thompson Hall.
From Irene Hall papers - obit (copied): Passes away at home of her sister- On Monday night at 10 o'clock, after a brief illness, Miss Martha Hall died of pneumonia. Her condition was not thought to be critical until a day or two before the end. For several years she has been in poor health, but has been able to be about her duties. For a few months, she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. Marion Jacobs. When friends believed the end approaching, they sent word to relatives in Sangamon County, and Mrs. L. Baker and Mrs, Wm. Miller of Waverly, Mrs. D. W. Hall, Mrs. Jay and Mr. Wm. Hall of Loami came and helped nurse her. Mrs. Hall was born near Loami, Sangamon County. Her father and mother died when she was young and for the greater part of her her life her home was with her sister, Mrs. M. Jacobs. About 20 years ago, she decided to make Mowequa her permanent home...
